moody autumn wedding at the hall at fauntleroy
if there is one thing you should know about meβ¦ itβs that i love an autumn wedding. october in seattle is honestly my roman empire. the color palettes get richer, the air feels crisp and cozy, and i love the moody light. and this gorgeous october wedding at the hall at fauntleroy checked every box. between the warm brick interiors, the twinkle-lit courtyard, and the shaded ceremony area tucked among the trees, itβs basically built for cozy fall vibes.
savannah and wilsonβs wedding was gorgeous, wrapped in a slightly moody fall vibe and topped with absurdly beautiful diy details.
a vintage garden party vibe with a rich autumn wedding palette
savannah and wilson planned a wedding day that felt like an elevated backyard garden party. the color palette was chefβs kiss for fall with terracotta, mustard yellow, olive green, plum, chocolate brown, and soft rose. bold but earthy.
so many of the details were diy or handmade, and the florals were stunning. the bouquets and centerpieces even included blooms grown by the bride herself! and i loved savannahβs choice to have her shoes and veil be colorful and fit the autumn aesthetic perfectly!
first look + portraits at the venue
the couple got ready at separate airbnbs close to the venue and met up for their first look at fauntleroy and exchange private vows in a cozy room ahead of the ceremony. this is another reason i love this venue! between the indoor and outdoor spaces, you donβt have to go far to get a ton of variety.
we did the majority of portraits before the ceremony so they didnβt miss much of the party later. honestly, no one wants to spend half their wedding day taking posed photos. when you hire a pro (hi, itβs me), we make the most out of every minute. youβll get the shots you want, and then youβll actually get to enjoy your wedding. wild concept, right?
a misty autumn wedding ceremony at the courtyard
this october day gave us just enough weather drama to make it interesting. the ceremony took place in the courtyard with trees all around and that signature seattle moodiness in the air.
what stands out about the hall at fauntleroy is their flexibility. the team here doesnβt make you decide at 9am whether your ceremony will be indoors or out. theyβll literally wait until the last moment to put out the chairs, which, if you know seattle weather, is everything. even if itβs misty (and letβs be real, it probably will be, especially in autumn), theyβll still let you roll with your original plan. not every venue gives you that kind of grace. itβs a huge reason i recommend this place again and again.
autumn wedding reception at the hall at fauntleroy
inside, the autumn wedding reception setup was set up with deep plum tablecloths, terracotta and rust-colored napkins, and floral centerpieces that looked like mini wildflower meadows on every table. and the cake was surrounded by a small field of flowers was truly iconic too!
the overall vibe was so moody, romantic, colorful, and just a little whimsical. basically everything an october wedding should be.
after dinner, the couple slipped into their matching embroidered converse and fully committed to dancing the night away alongside their loved ones.
